Global Unions AIDS Program serves as a platform for international trade union organizations - the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) and 10 sector based Global Union Federations (GUFs) - for information exchange, coordination, complementarity and coherence, as well as common advocacy for a human rights based approach to HIV and AIDS and the world of work. Global Unions AIDS Program is an open and inclusive structure, based on voluntary commitment of the international trade union organizations.

Program’s goals are to provide:

• a forum for information exchange;
• coordination, complementarity and coherence;
• common advocacy for a human rights based approach to HIV and AIDS and the world of work;
• common advocacy to make HIV/AIDS a priority for trade unions.
