Trade Unions to G20: Half Measures Will Not Fix Broken Global Economy

Global Unions presented an ambitious series of measures for achieving recovery in the "Washington Declaration" to the leaders of the G-20 who met in November. Since that time, the economic crisis has only gotten worse, in fact, it has deteriorated more than anybody predicted. It is clear that fundamental changes must take place in order to ensure that the present crisis is overcome without a return to "business as usual" - private greed, once again, overpowering the public good. Global Unions propose alternatives to dusting off the failed policies that gave birth to the crisis in the London Declaration.
